Three free AI experiments for your weekend

Make something silly, make something yours, or find a reason to go outside. These three ideas use free access to Suno, ChatGPT and Perplexity. They are guides to existing features, not new launches. We checked the official documentation today; we have not run these workflows hands-on. Below them: two recent AI updates and two useful scam checks.

Make something fun

Give your most boring errand a theme song

What you can do

Suno can turn a short description into a song. Give an ordinary chore a ridiculous soundtrack: disco laundry, a heroic grocery run, or a ballad about finding your keys.

Why it matters

You get a small creative experiment you can listen to and share by link. No music-production software or paid plan is needed for this idea.

Try it

Open suno.com/create, sign in and choose Simple mode. Paste the prompt, generate, then listen. Check the lyrics and remove private details before sharing the song link. Copy this prompt: Make an upbeat disco-funk anthem about finally doing the laundry after avoiding it all week. Springy bass, handclaps, warm playful vocals, and a ridiculously triumphant chorus. Include one heroic missing sock. Original lyrics; no named-artist imitation.

Availability & cost: The Free plan has 50 credits per day and a shared creation queue. Free songs are for personal, non-commercial use. Share the Suno song link.

Limits: Free access does not include monthly song downloads; occasional trial downloads are not guaranteed. This is not a promise of a free MP3. Musical details may need another attempt. We checked the documentation, not the workflow hands-on.

Make something personal

Turn your doodle into a reaction cast

What you can do

ChatGPT Images can edit an image you upload. Try turning your own odd little drawing into a sheet of six reactions, from delighted to mildly overwhelmed.

Why it matters

Your drawing supplies the personality. A single sheet gives you something to save and refine without needing to learn illustration software.

Try it

Open ChatGPT and upload a clear photo of your own drawing. Paste the prompt below. Review the faces and consistency, request fixes if needed, then use Save to download the sheet. For separate images, ask for one expression at a time. Copy this prompt: Turn my original doodle into a six-panel reaction-sticker sheet. Preserve its odd proportions and recognizable features. Show: delighted, suspicious, sleepy, celebrating, mildly overwhelmed, and giving a thumbs-up. Thick clean outlines, two-color palette, transparent background, no text, generous space between characters. Keep the character consistent across all six.

Availability & cost: Images and uploads are available on ChatGPT Free, with separate usage limits. Wait for the relevant limit to reset if you reach it; no fixed free image count is promised here.

Limits: Use your own art or art you have permission to use. Results may need edits, and this is not an automatically installed WhatsApp sticker pack or a guarantee of exclusive rights. We checked the documentation, not the workflow hands-on.

Find something to do

Find the free adventure hiding nearby

What you can do

Perplexity basic search can help you gather linked ideas for a day out. Ask for three unusual, genuinely free options near you, with dates and official venue pages.

Why it matters

A library talk, small exhibition or public walk is easier to judge when the answer includes booking rules and a link you can check yourself.

Try it

Open perplexity.ai and use ordinary basic search, not paid Research. Replace every bracket in the prompt. Open each official venue link and check the exact date, price, booking and restrictions before leaving. Copy this prompt: Find three genuinely free, slightly unusual things I can do near [town/neighborhood] on [exact date]. I like [two interests] and can travel for [time] by [walking/public transport]. Use official venue, library, museum, university or council pages. For each: what makes it interesting, exact date/time, booking requirement, age/residency restrictions, and a direct source link. Exclude expired listings, free trials and events that require a purchase. Say when availability is unconfirmed. Don't book anything.

Availability & cost: The Standard plan is free and includes practically unlimited basic searches. This prompt does not need Pro Search, Research or a promotional trial.

Limits: Search can surface stale dates or miss local conditions. An AI answer is not a booking or proof that an event is still available. Verify the official listing. We checked the documentation, not the workflow hands-on.

4 more signals

Useful checks and updates. Guidance shows its check date; event dates identify actual announcements.

  • ChatGPT can lock a chat out of ordinary history

The October 20 rollout adds Lock chat in the chat menu for Free, Go, Plus and Pro. A PIN or supported device authentication opens it. Locking hides it from regular history, pins and search; it does not change retention or model-improvement settings.

  • Claude Duet is a paid, limited preview

Announced October 21, Duet starts with a waitlist for US Pro and Max subscribers. It can keep working in the background, uses the plan's existing allowance, and asks before actions such as sending messages or payments. This is news, not a free-tool recommendation.

  • A tiny payout does not prove a task job is real

The FTC warns that task scammers may pay $5 to $20 first to build trust, then demand your own money, often crypto, to unlock fake earnings. Never pay to get paid. Treat unexpected task-job messages with suspicion.

  • Your crypto history is not an address book

An attacker can plant a tiny transaction from a lookalike wallet address, hoping you copy it later. Verify the full destination address from a trusted source, including the middle characters. Do not rely on a familiar-looking start and end.

Build something cool

Keep the experiment small

Pick one prompt and change one detail to make it yours. Check the result before sharing: lyrics and private details, the consistency of your drawn character, or the official event listing. Stop at a free limit and return later. Our existing review workflow offers a checklist you can adapt.
